KGAL Group acquired two additional photovoltaic plants from the developer Solairedirect in December last year. These have a combined installed capacity of 18.6 MWp. The plants are located in Gréoux-les-Bain (north-east of Marseille) and Salaunes (west of Bordeaux), with capacity of 11.547 MWp and 7.029 MWp respectively. This is the fourth transaction successfully completed between KGAL Group and Solairedirect.
The photovoltaic plants have already been in operation since July/September 2017, and bring the total installed capacity of photovoltaic plants in France managed by KGAL to around 110 MWp. Both new plants are investments of a single institutional account that KGAL operates for renewable energies.
France is already one of the largest established core markets for solar energy in Europe, and will continue to rely on this form of energy generation developing further, into the future. “We intend to continue expanding with renewable energies further in France, and are planning additional investments in solar energy,” explained Michael Ebner, Spokesperson for the Management Board of KGAL Investment Management GmbH & Co. KG. He went on to say that good natural resources combined with a stable regulatory environment will mean that future conditions for solar energy remain positive in France.
