Investing for the future

The infrastructure Europe relies on

We have financed infrastructure since long before it became an asset class. In public-private partnerships with cities and utilities: Berlin’s gas network, Munich’s subway trains and its cultural center, combined heat and power plant, wastewater treatment, tram fleets. For corporations: airport center, football stadium for seventy thousand, airline headquarters, broadcasting studios, shipping and vehicle fleets. Different assets, one approach: structuring long-term cash flows to create value for public and private capital. That experience is what we have brought to renewable energy and the energy transition since 2003.

Building markets and assets

At Tuscania, north of Rome, we developed and built Italy’s largest privately financed solar park (148 MW), supplying a leading Italian utility under a long-term agreement. We stand on fifteen years of work in Italy, the same way we have built our renewable energy markets across Europe since 2003. We enter early, work hands-on with local partners, and access projects at the stages and in the markets that deliver value.

And investing in the businesses that support such assets

Alongside power generation and energy transition assets, we invest in businesses across Europe that create them. Originating access to sites, securing permits and grid connections, and carrying projects to the point where they can be built. Our capital and our European reach accelerate their growth. In return, our investors gain early access to a pipeline of projects, from first plans to operation, and a view of what the energy transition will need next. Value created for our investors, our partners and the energy system.
